I just saw APSARA TV showed Lok Voy Ho alive. Is it true? If it's true, I am surprised; why he has hidden from the public for more than 33 years. He is the most talented and famous Khmer song writer in modern history. Can KI-Media post Voy Ho show from APSARA TV to our readers to help solve this mistery? Is he a real or fake Voy Ho?

I have read the same story as you did and I also saw the video you mentioned (see above), however, Socheat Ly provided a strong argument on Facebook about the authenticity, or lack thereof, of this alleged Voy Ho. In his argument, Socheat indicated that, should Mr. Voy Ho lives until now, he would have been in his 70s whereas the man who claimed to be Voy Ho on the Apsara channel is in fact in his 40s (or maybe 50s?). The alleged Voy Ho was married to a woman in Kha'orm village, Russei Chroy commune, Mukh Kampul district, Kandal province, before he divorced(?) her, married another wife and moved on to live in Battambang province. Vilagers in Kha'orm claimed that the black mark on this man's face, he had it since he was young, unlike what he claimed on TV.

Pls take a close look of both pictures. Real Voy Ho had a Chinese complexion, not dark, voice etc. Ex.Yothhea Phirum's, and Samneang Rithy's [Yang Chheang] can testify the contrary.

The man could be the real Mr. Voy Ho if you analyzed the facial structures of the two pictures given. The complexion (skin pigmentation) changes due to aging process, everything tends to lose the clarity.
Look at the flatness of the back of the head (old time asian mothers let their newborn babies sleep flat on their backs!), the eyebrows, and hair lines. They are identical.
Also, one should ask what is the motive in supporting or debunking this man's identity?
He is a fraud, period.

I agreed the TV presenter is another stupid follower who knows so little but able to make a judgement on political view. I have a question for him: Does he really think the intellectuals around the world, Khmers included, are wrong about Hun Sen being a ignorant leader in Cambodia? Voy Ho is still alive. Sin Sisamouth son and wife accepted that he is a real Voy Ho. Sister of Ros SereySothea also affirmed that he is an authentic Voy Ho.
He is now under care of Mr. Heng Sreang, the president of PEN Cambodia. His number 017730333. He received about 700 plus composed songs from him. He is producing some new songs with Voy Ho now.
