Do these men feel any ashamed at all to show off their bellies in newspaper?. Their commanders are so disgusting to have their pictures taken. They are so cheap soldiers compare to the wild dogs.
Those men don't have a physical of the soldier or not even a part time soldiers. They are a partying soldiers. Not ready for battle but ready to eat and drink beers.

eating addiction and lack of daily exercise make people get fat, you know! like in any achievement in life, one has to be disciplined and pushes self to stay healthy and fit. if you want to live long, then do take care of one's health because without health, all the wealth in the world makes no differences, you know! learn something about the disease of obesity! push oneself to just do it, exercise and be disciplined and perseverant in life in order to achievement something successful, ok! it really is about oneself, otherwise, like wealth without health, it doesn't matter much. you can only do so much for other when yourself is capable, so do get help and education, really!
there's nothing attractive about being overweight, you know! forget fat buddha, so unattractive, really!
for these soldiers or bodyguards or what have you, their obesity reflects their leaders' or their managers' bad example, perhaps! people with weak or careless mind who are in charge makes their workers unfit! also called self-discipline!

I respect all comments; however, we should look to them in positive way, too. They're Khmers. Physically, they're bigger than Vietcong. My opinion, CPP is trying to humiliated fat people. If CPP want to really want to change of their body side, don't put them in sport light like this. CPP must set-up a rules requirement to be a MP. I see Americans police fat, too. Agreed, but these Khmer soldiers MUST know that it can lead to all sort of health issues. Their family will be in a tough spot one day. Cambodian usually physically are bigger than it's neighbors but we are usually gullible than our neighbors. That's why Youn, A KA PEK, LEU usually were able to get Khmers harmed other Khmers. Bigger pysical size doesn't make much different in protecting your country. Just look at African they are physically bigger than the European and they still get dominated by a few White settlers. Khmer must be well educated, well informed, learn from past mistakes, We Khmer must love, care for each others. Not look down on each other physically, wealths, social ladder. Our thieving neighbors surely hatred, look down, racist toward Cambodian peoples. Khmer MUST STOP the old way thinking hating each others.
