Thank you so much once again for the song SAMOTH TOEUK PNEK , Written by our Khmer Republic Prime Minister LONG BORET and listening to this special song makes me so sad regarding our great loss to the Communists plus I got a goose-bump already.
Lok LONG BORET was a youngest candidate ever elected as a member of the Cambodian Parliament and he was only 27 from the only constituency of STUNG TRENG Province in the early 50's.
I red his novel SAMOTH TOEUK PNEK and then watched the movie in the early 60's...later on the HONG KONG Movie Producer SHAW BROTHERS produced a movie titled BOPHA KNONG VIMEAN played by a famous movie star KHEUH CHUNG SUNG in early 70's falling exactly the same story of SAMOTH TOEUK PNEK ...they were both sadly sentimental movies.
Hoping I could find the book and the movies .
I would love to dedicate SAMOTH TOEUK PNEK song to LOK LONG BORET and the true lovers and had been parted or missing during the war against North Vietnamese and Vietcong Troops especially in POL POT Regime.

This is a very sad, fascinating and clearly 'sentimental' personal story you both are kind enough to share with us.
There is something about Ream resort and its distinct golden sands that tend to leave their lasting footprints in many a romantic traveler's memory.
I'm sure if the place could talk it would have many melancholy stories to tell.
