Woman gets life sentence for cutting off husband's penis

this case? In Orange County, a woman has been sentenced to life in
prison for cutting off her husband's penis and then running it through a

According to prosecutors, in July 2011, Kieu apparently slipped sleeping pills into her husband's soup, and when he passed out, she tied him to the bed, woke him up, and cut off his genitals with a 10-inch kitchen knife. She then threw the body parts in the garbage disposal. Holy crap.
Kieu's attorney said his client suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder due to mental impairment and long-term sexual abuse. He mentioned she had a “break from reality” when she committed the crime and had trouble accepting her husband's request for a divorce.Kieu will be eligible for parole in seven years. In court, the 62-year-old victim said Kieu's actions were rooted in vengeance, vanity and jealously because the couple was splitting up.
"This was not an act of war. This was not some horrible accident. This was not the result of some terrible disease. This was a cruel and calculated violation of a person's body and mind," he said.
