នៅខណៈពេលនេះ តំណាងប្រជាពលរដ្ឋកំពុងយកញត្តិ ថ្វាយព្រះមហាក្សត្រ ភ្ជាប់ជាមួយស្នាមមេដៃប្រជាពលរដ្ឋប្រមាណ ២៦, ៣៥៦១ មេដៃ ដើម្បីស្នើសុំព្រះអង្គមេត្តាកុំយាងជាព្រះរាជាធិបតី ក្នុងសម័យប្រជុំសភាលើកដំបូង នៅថ្ងៃទី ២៣ ខែកញ្ញា ខាងមុខនេះ ក្នុងករណីដែលគណបក្សសង្រ្គោះជាតិ និងគណបក្សប្រជាជន មិនទាន់ឯកភាពគ្នា។
263,561 signatures or thumbprints have been collected in an ongoing mass petition asking the King not to preside over the September 23 inaugural session of the National Assembly pending a peaceful resolution of the electoral conflict between the CPP and the CNRP. More signatures are flowing.

If the King dares to convene the new gov't without solving the Election Irregularities, the King is abusing his power and violating the articles 7 and 76 of Chapter 7 of the Royal Kingdom of Cambodia Constitution that respectively stipulate:
- The assembly consists of at least 120 members.
- The assembly shall hold its first session no later than sixty days after the election upon notice by the King.
