Please uncle Sam, you should not negotiate with Hun Sen at all if you cannot have a Prime Minister position. However, if the protest looses steam, you may want to only consider the position of President of National Assembly with three conditions to be agreed upon:
- Draft of amended constitution on Premiership term limit with agreement to be approved by vote by Jan 2014 (Prevent future tyranny after 2018)
- Draft of NEC top executives to be comprised of CNRP, CPP, and two NGOs to be approved and effective Oct 1, 2013 (Hope for CNRP in 2018)
- 4 Chairmanships of Finance, Forestry, Tourism, and Rural Development if CNRP joins the Govt if not CNRP should request 2 additional chairmanship of Education, and CDC (Start changing culture of check and balance now in order to start taming the dictator)
Please do not give in for the (Premier or) National Assembly President post. If not, uncle Sam is better off take up only the post of Director of Khmer National Museum because, if you stay in politics without power, your parliamentary immunity will be revoked again under the strategy of Sam Kok's Khong Meng a la Hun Sen in one or two years and you have to pack for France for good since you are in your mid-sixties already.
I am sorry for you because you may be a book smart political scientist. However, you did not have a chance to be trained by your skillful politician dad to be as street smart as Hun Sen, PhD who is internally acclaimed as a shrewd and machiavellic politician.

After the meeting ended, The CPP has the business as usual.
And after all protesters returned home, The CNRP will continue their daily task to voice their concerns about the abusive CPP.
