PHNOM PENH, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia's more than 100 Buddhist monks on Thursday afternoon called on the nation's King Norodom Sihamoni to postpone the opening session of new parliament scheduled next Monday.
The pro-opposition monks were stopped at a police barricade near the Royal Palace as they marched to the Royal Palace.
"His Majesty should delay the opening session of the National Assembly as political dispute over the election results has not been resolved," Buddhist monk Yin Rattanak Sotheavy told Xinhua at the event.
The country held a general election on July 28. The official results showed that the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) of Prime Minister Hun Sen won 68 out of the 123 parliamentary seats, and the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) of Sam Rainsy got 55 seats.
But the CNRP rejected the results, claiming serious vote fraud.

The King on Wednesday called on the opposition party's elected lawmakers to attend the opening session of the parliament on Sept. 23 in order to show national unity, but Sam Rainsy has said that the CNRP would not attend the session if there was no appropriate solution to the alleged poll irregularities.
He also warned to call another mass protest before the session.
Prime Minister Hun Sen and Sam Rainsy held talks on Monday and Tuesday, aiming at finding a way to break through the political impasse but reached no any remarkable agreement.
Hun Sen has said that his party has enough lawmakers to override any opposition parliamentary boycott and form a new government.

To all venerable monks: Please do not waste your time to pray for this stupid king. I believe he wouldn't do anything to find justice for our country and our Khmer people. He is the most stupid and coward of all men on this earth. WE have ah kwang Mkak as the prime minister and now we have a man with totally blind and deaf to be the king of Cambodia. Morever, he knows to please everyone by licking someone's hand and bowing his head like poodle. what we expect now ? Do we deserve this feebleminded king to find Justice for us.

Government should build steel fence surround the outside palace like They did at the parliamentary building so that it is not wasting time to remove the barrack and put them back again and again to protect the King and it's more stronger, secure that the King can't escape from his palace to talk to the monks and people. Monarchy do not belong to CPP but he must walk carefully because Hun Sen & Youn threats of abolished, brutalities on Khmer populations. After CPP lost the election 1993, prince Chak Cror Pong went to work with Viet & CPP. After 20 years later the king will be the same. Why we need the king who has no interest in our nation, just thron only, Dumb.

Peaceful solution is not HUN SEN desire, HUN SEN no where to go after stepping down, Veitcong will lost a lot of it's interest if they lost HUN SEN, China will cry if HUN SEN would be removed, HUN SEN wish to seat on the power for another 20 years and then transfer to his kids which HUN SEN is doing now. So from those important point, the best solution is, teaching Cambodian Monks, or Young Cambodian people know how to use Biological, or Chemical or Nuclear Weapon to solve the problem. HUN SEN knows himself that if he Step Down, people will chop his head off, because HUN SEN has done so bad things killing many innocent Cambodian, selling his country to Vietnam, letting Vietnamese refugees living in Cambodia.

Your Majesty,
In reference to your Royal Decree dated September 14, 2013, to convene the first meeting of the newly elected Members of Parliament on September 23, 2013, I would like to humbly implore Your Majesty to postpone the first meeting for three main reasons:
Primo, thousands of Dharma practitioners including Buddhist monks as well as Cambodian people from all walks of life have taken to the street in protest of the alleged electoral irregularities at the risk of their lives.
Secundo, by virtue of articles 7 and 76 of Chapter 7 of the Royal Kingdom of Cambodia Constitution that respectively stipulate:
- The assembly consists of at least 120 members.
- The assembly shall hold its first session no later than sixty days after the election upon notice by the King.
For the sake of fragile unity and ephemeral peace, you may have jeopardized your image as the Father of Nation by being the first to violate the Law of the Land should the Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) decide to boycott the first meeting according to the will of their constituents. For your reminder, this Law of the land was sanctified by the late Preah Karuna Preah Bat Sâmdach Preah Norodom Sihanouk Preahmâhaviraksat, The United Nations Security Council, the six members of ASEAN, Australia, Canada, India, Japan, Laos, Viet Nam, and Yugoslavia.
Finally, the Sovereign, as Father of Nation, would do a great service to all Khmers by being a role model in protecting the Law of the Land for the sustainable peace and prosperity of the Sovereign Kingdom of Cambodia. In this new electronic era, all Khmers aspire to be on par with modern ASEAN counterparts yet hold the Law of the Land sacred and inviolable. I would like to quote a teaching from St. Augustine, Christian scholar and sage: "In the absence of justice, what is sovereignty but organized robbery?"
For the above reasons, by revoking your Royal Decree and convening the first meeting at a later date, Your Majesty will take the first step to assert your Royal Authority as Guarantor of the State of Law, Dharma, and Sovereignty.
