Cambodia to hear closing statements in Khmer Rouge trial

PHNOM PENH — Agence France-Presse Published Tuesday, Oct. 15 2013

Cambodia’s war-crimes court will start hearing closing statements Wednesday in the trial of former Khmer Rouge leaders accused of masterminding one of the worst horrors of the 20th century.

More than three decades after the country’s “Killing Fields” era, the United Nations-backed court is moving closer to a verdict in the case of “Brother Number Two” Nuon Chea, 87, and ex-head of state Khieu Samphan, 82.

This guy was not Khmer rouge, he was a son of one official of Lon nol Gov. he and his 10 to 15 men wore black were opportunist(pretented to be the victors) during the last hour of Khmer Republic, showed up even before real Khmer rouge soldiers came...moment later he and his men were all executed by Khmer Rouge.

Stop being paranoid, those Khmer rouge soldiers were purely Khmer, darker skin, very young blood but were trained by Pol Pot as killing machine!

1.14PM, thanks, you are right, He pretended to be KR , trying to hijack the victory of the KR. He was the son of a well known Lon Nol minister. This man's name was Hem Ket sena (?. Later his and his group was dragged out of the hiding hole and shot by the real KR. Their faces had turned pale after staying under the hole a few months.

Injustice! AkYut Teh Thor Nas! Sihanouk in the late sixty used General Les Kosem and shared with him million dollars for supplying the Vietcong with rice and ammunition. Les Kosem died of liver cancer when moved to Malaysia. He left all these dirty money with his wife who now own and run a successful resort in Kampot called NATAYA and a Company called CLS, Cambodian Labor Supply whose send maids to Malaysia for abuse(as written often in newspaper how those maid were raped etc..).If you are against Yuon Stop Going to NATAYA resort in Kampot,or stop using CLS their money have Khmer Blood. And it was Viet Cong Monies.

Unlike our soldiers in 28 BI who fought day and nite and tireless, General Les Kosem never been out to the field but corrupted and lately in April 2013 Phnom Penh Post published his good name on it, it is completely false. Ak YUT TEh Thor Nas Preah Euy!

well, I already warned the VC to stay away from Cambodia politic or else, their country and nation will be swallowed by the sea. I want them to know that, this is only the beginning. If they still continue to be involved, I will continue to ask God almighty to come to destroy them until they have nothing left. This is a second warning. Viets must get out of Cambodia and its political system now! or else, the worst yet to come, Amen

yes and true, there are opportunist Khmer who pretend to be victor like you said. On April 17, 1975, he pretend to be on Khmer Rouge side, he scolded others pretending he is a Khmer rouge; it happened in Battambang city. He is Mr. Sam Art living now in Oakland Ca, he is now big and fat and old- around 60-
