Ah Ror Ou of Khmauch Ah Reak !!
It is so easy to buy a certain Khmer who is willing to betray his country and to turn a blind eye to the basic justice. In this case Ou Virak had made a statement that is totally his opinion (an opinion that is simply roque and shamefully irresponsible) in favor of CPP. It would have been OK if he was simply a member of the public but he works for Human Right! The question is does Human Right as a prominent NGO whose tasked to protect the public endorse Ou Virak's statement?! It is time to pressure Human Right by massive public outcry to fire Ou Virak or at least to explain his statement and make sense of it all.
If you favor Cpp, you get something and he knew it. Or just go between a nd get both rewards.
The word 'intellectual' deserves to be used with greater care so as not to demean it. In most civilised nations where standards of learning are high having recognisable or prestigious academic qualifications does not necessarily make one an "intellectual".
There are very few Cambodians today who are qualified under that term, and this individual above is not one of them.

He is representing CCHR when he open his mouth to speak. He took the job, or was appointed (by Kem Sohka) knowingly that he represent the center. He cannot choose opinion or representation. It is a high profile job. I would not associate him with in the intellectual, since he does bot have the education. He surround himself with interns from other countries and travel the globe speaking about "human rights". But lets break it down, what has he done to preserved Human rights in Cambodia? or defending or it? Has he changed any lives in Cambodia?
The answer is probably NO! He has changed his life..by promoting himself throughout the globe, and lastly, yes he has ties to CPP.
Of course those who reading this post will think that this author is opposing Ou Virak. Not so, but i know who he is....
1:08am, why is that? what is the real reason for that? is it ignorance, pride, take it the easy way, abuse, personality or what is it about it that make human like that? ones has to wonder in order to understand better why people do what they do. good to be inquisitive, that's smart and wise.

in asia, pictures can be deceptive; often it is not what you see in reality. this goes both way, good or bad! stop being so gullible all the time, check and see yourself before falling gullible. that is a good practice in life. in the acedemic world, they do a lot of field research to come up with the truth to support their assumption. use that for practicality in life as well! it could save your life and others as well!
a good researcher usually emerge self into their project, this way, they can understand the subject better. leaders should do that, too, i.e. emerge self into the project. it's not easy, but be patient!

HUN XEN let him to stand and critizice HUN XEN first making Cambodian believe him, and the final one he turn it back to criticize back to Sam Rain Sy. HUN XEn has 1000 tricks how to defeat, how to kill, how to take advantages from any opposition members, at first he let some one say bad thing to HUN XEn until most Cambodian trust him, then that guy will kill the opposition member by doing like Our Virak. Remember, most those people are cheap, HUN XEN can buy them any time believe me.
It is time for Ou Virak to go. This guy has not done much to help human rights in Cambodia at all. Why do they still keep him in that position?
