Message from KI reader to School of Vice

Dear Schol of Vice,

Our reader said I could close the case now. He got the song. You are free to go, but you still should learn how to do it, since part of your jobs is Mr. DJ. ~Jendhamuni
Please respond to our reader: I see you posted Khmer Karaoke song title Kolap Kos Keo, sing by In Yeng. I really love that song. Is it possible you can upload in youtube again with no vocal. I am looking for that song for a long while. I want to try to sing that song. I love all oldies songs. KI Reader from San Francisco

Dear KI reader,

Hmmm.. this is a tough one. How do I upload a video song without vocal? Can anyone offer helpful suggestion?

So sorry about the late reply. I have just read your message through this post thanks to Ms Jendhamuni.

Kindest,

Dear School of Vice,

I have a tutorial for you, you can try out for fun and/or for experiment also. But I'm a little concern -- afraid you like it so much and will start remixing golden songs from golden era like some songs you posted. Please do not re-mix! I like the original version from Golden Era.

Here is the link to the tutorial page:

http://audio-production.wonderhowto.com/how-to/extract-vocals-from-song-using-adobe-audition-163836/

And this is the link to youtube tutorial:

By the way, this is done via Adobe Audition, not sure if you have this software or not. I love it so much. I have been using this program for so many years. ~Jendhamuni

Dear Jendha,

Well, what a relief to learn the case is now closed! Saathuk! saathuk! saathuk!

Thanks for the links to the tutorial lessons. But, I have a feeling they are going to be wasted on me since my brain does not like anything remotely technical! This is why I used to forward all technical issues from readers to 'Heng Soy' to resolve! And that's the main reason why I refer to Heng Soy as "my good friend"!

So there's very little chance that I'll end up having fun with these things - let alone using them to remix the songs from the pre-war era; something I vehemently oppose because it generally impairs the original feel and flavour of the songs instead of enhancing them. I think I'm in the minority camp on this remixing thing.

Thanks again for the links. I did try searching for online instructions earlier but they seemed rather complicated - for me anyway.

PS: School of Vice is only a part-time DJ.

Dear School of Vice,

That's why you have been hiding all day and night :) You sneak out when you knew I closed the case. So not School of Vice. Well, I'm a little different. I don't like to read, but I love reading about technology (besides Buddhism). Like I have a choice. That is my profession. You are safe now, till next time. I still think you need to learn how to do this, even if you are only a part time DJ because readers like your taste of music [unlike mine - always sad songs]. I am a big big fan of sad songs, although I am a very happy person.

Talking about HS, now I see. And HS contacted me, when he got stuck :) At one time, I tried to hide [successfully] from him for three months. He thought I died :)

When you give importance to others, they think you respectful!
Although some are confused by thinking, that treating others bad for upgrading oneself better pride; instead the very person downgrade oneself, indeed!
