NO Pity for them! Absolutely NOT! They protect the corrupts and the wealthiest not the Nation and Beat the innocent villages. Whoever wrote pity on the headline should have his or her ass beaten by these thug soldiers then they know how painful is.

They was born from poor family,but they protect the corruption high rank,they killed the poor people.
The picture was taken during Shihanouk funeral. These soldiers were part of the 105 mm cremation ceremony salute artillery group stationed at the river front.
They are a small soldiers. They are in military because they need a job to support themselves & families. They also loved their peoples and country. When you are in military you have to follow orders are be in prison, in jungle laws Scambodia sometime you can be missing permanently even you are military.
They can't disobey orders, this is military doctrines. Only Scambodia generals have the powers to order these troops to turn their guns at CPP/Hanoi but most Khmer/Youn generals are corrupted. You guys can't blame these small time foot soldiers blame the CPP & Youn for these soldiers actions.
Even in the worst time of our era Pol Pot. Some Khmer Rough soldiers in my villages refuses to kill us. That why me & others in my village live until today. These Khmer soldiers need their Captain, Major, Colonel to set a good examples for them to ow. Remember these foot soldiers are very poorly educated from rural rice fields so their knoweledges of right & wrong are limited. We must stop blame each others. Blame CPP, Youn, Chine.
