Foreign Minister’s Son to Step Down as UK Envoy

Hor Nambora
By Phorn Bopha, The Cambodia Daily, Nov. 20, 2013

Hor Nambora, the son of Foreign Minister Hor Namhong, will step down as Cambodia’s ambassador to Britain, according to an official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Cheung Buntheng, undersecretary of state at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, said Tuesday that Meas Kimheng, an adviser to Mr. Namhong who was previously Cambodia’s ambassador to Australia, would replace Mr. Nambora in London.

Mr. Buntheng said that Mr. Nambora’s return from his diplomatic mission to the U.K. will be made official once King Norodom Sihamoni signs a Royal Decree in the coming days.

“The King has not signed [the decree] yet. His Majesty has been busy with the Water Festival,” Mr. Buntheng said.

“He [Mr. Kimheng] will replace Hor Nambora only when he comes back from England,” he added.

On his Facebook page, Mr. Nambora also posted photos of himself bidding farewell in London to government officials from Ethiopia, where he also served as Cambodia’s ambassador.

“Yes it is true…but I don’t know in which direction I am moving on after the end of my diplomatic mission in London and Africa,” Mr. Nambora wrote in a post on his Facebook page.

“A gentleman Ambassador and devotion to duties…. Mission well accomplished!” Mr. Nambora wrote in another post, referring to himself.

Dear compatriots,

During this crucial time in our history, we should understand and accept most of the precautious measures taken by the CNRP's leaders after the election.

The task to remove the election’s loser CPP and Hun Sen from power require patience, perseverance, flexibility, and great determination.

So, please be patient !!

The December 10th demonstration must be centered on the election's loser CPP and Hun Sen to concede their defeat or accept the formation of an independent committee to investigate the election's irregularities or opt to have a new election.

So far, this Yuon slave illegal government has been playing dumb by acting like it is the winner of the election and ignoring all local and international critics.

The loser CPP and Hun Sen must go !!

Khmer people have voted you (Hun Sen) out !!

The CPP's time is up !!

Best wishes and good luck to the CNRP and its leaders for their noble efforts to save Cambodia from the traitorous CPP’s government and its evil master Vietnam.

Please judge the person[s] by his/her characters/actions not by his/her "Parents" due to their parents pasted mistook nor circumstances in which they can't change, for instance,Whore Nam Hoang was a killer during K.R,but Nambora [Son] has nothing to do with that killing in that regime. My families were victimized by that regime as well.Do I blame Nambora for what his father has done during that time!? Absolutely insane if we blame Nambora on what he can't controls,or perhaps,he was just a young kid like me at that time.I blamed his father Whore Nam Hoang his hands were stained with Khmer's Bloods, not a son Nambora, his hands were cleaned,no blood stains.

If Hun Manet becomes a Prime Minister of Cambodia installed by his father, Hun Sen, also a Khmer Rouge leader in Pol Pot.

Do you say that we are stupid too? DO you understand what Nepotism? How many families and relative of Hun Sen have high school position in the Kingdom of Wonder?

Lets pray for Ah Nam Hor Nam and his families to join hell with Sihanouk.

Heh another CHker yuon! Wellcome to the kingdom of Ach Sva. You have the foreign ministry waiting for you. Make this ministry as your family business, bring your wife , your kids, your mother, your brothers and sisters and your servants to work in your father ministry because all of ministries in Phnom Penh are doing the same thing. Create job for all of them and pay them the top salaries. It is in your right to succeed from father to son and from son to grand Children, so you just follow ah Ach Kwek example. He will quit when he is 90 years old and ah ach pkay 5 or 6 maybe 7 by then will take care the job as prime minister. This is the rule in the kingdom of Scambodia.

Gentlemen,

Please be ware that this son of the crook , wil be moving into more active role in single party RGC.

The invader, Vietnam, knows that the old generation should be replaced in order to keep its grip on Cambodia.

Watch out! King Sihanouk is no longer there to prevent the invasion of Vietnam.

More movements of Cambodian nationalists, the more push of Vietnam with careful craft tactics employed.

Unity of Cambodians , we will survive!.
