from following up with the news in general all the time, i can tell you these cases are not unique to persons of khmer origin only. i think it just happens that these two military officers are khmer made it to the khmer media site like this, not i reassure you all that it is not unique to persons of khmer origin. the law in the america won't discriminate or bias based national origin, religion nor sexual orientation anymore; it is based on the rule of law everywere, yes even in the military. anyone can get in trouble if they are in the position of responsibility and they don't do their job well or they do something wrong. i thought i just want to point that out in case some of you out there still think about impunity or immunity for privileged individuals or leaders. in america, the law don't care who you are, it is your merit that counts more, not your position in society. it goes the same for people with lots of money, the law don't care! well, in asia, it is a different way of life altogether, so why just pick on cambodia only? be fair!

That's why being a mercenary is way better. You owe allegiance to no flag. They can do what normal soldiers are forbidden to do.

I agree with comment 11:35PM. Nothing about race or nationality. When you have a pattern of abusing or abnormality in your daily business it tends to pick up by other. Your subordinate can report about you too - Remember whistle blower process?
