yes, samdech sangareach(ss) chuon nath was the khmer expert in all things educated in khmer, that is! we, sometimes, only hear foreign scholars were khmer experts because they studied khmer, but ss chuon nath embodied everything khmer as in knowledge. i heard from my dad that ss chuon nath was very strict and very disciplined when it comes to khmer knowledge. i can't believe the pol pot regime killed him. if he lives today, he'll be 110 years old. it's sad to think how the pol pot regime destroyed so many things khmer people stood for. let's praise an hope nothing like pol pot's regime ever allowed to exist again in cambodia or anywhere in the world, for that matter! it was so cruel and pure evil what happened or allowed to happen under pol pot's regime from 1975 to 1979! khmer people and khmer history will never forget that dark chapter of our country's recent tragic history. the world was so horrified by it!
