KUALA LUMPUR: NV Multi Corporation Bhd’s unit NV Multi Resources Sdn Bhd has teamed up with an individual, Kau Kim Bac, to undertake the development, operation and management of a memorial park in Thloeuk Village, Ang Snoul District in Cambodia.
The bereavement care services provider told Bursa Malaysia yesterday that the joint venture (JV) was in line with its objectives of expanding its business activities to other Asian countries.
It said the project would be funded by internal funds and external borrowings. NV Multi will hold a 49% stake in the JV company.
The project, which includes the acquisition of land measuring some 10ha, would involve the construction and eventual sale of a memorial park with columbarium, burial lots, temples, chapel, funeral parlour, crematorium, and leisure park with related infrastructure.

Even though the police sent out forces in drove to fight against the AK-47 bandits, up until now, this fight did not produce any results yet. To the contrary, the bandits are becoming more daring towards the cops. During a holdup held in the evening of 02 December, in Snor commune, Ang Snuol district, Kandal province, the AK-47 bandits were involved one more time. They went in to rob a family, tied up the family’s father and daughter, and they beat them up severely using a stick causing serious injuries to the family members. They then proceeded to rob all the wealth in the house. According to 65-year-old Ing Sokunthea, the owner of the house, the bandits count 5 members and they were armed with 5 AK-47 rifles. He said that the bandits entered his home at 7:30 PM, before the family even had dinner yet, the bandits took $1,000, a gold necklace chain, a platinum necklace chain, and a number of other objects.

After Kep Chuktema, the governor of the city of Phnom Penh, issued an order on Monday for the police and military police forces to take down the AK-47 bandits group in the city of Phnom Penh, the bandits changed the location of their activities by moving from Phnom Penh to Kandal province instead. The Koh Santepheap newspaper reported that the AK-47 bandits conducted an armed robbery on National Road No. 4, at 7:40 am on Monday, in front of the Bek Chan market located in Ang Snuol district, Kandal province. The group of 4 bandits traveled on a motorcycle, and used an AK-47 riffle to hit, to shoot to threaten and to rob 3 motorcycles from the travelers along the road, but they were successful in snatching away 2 motorcycles only. Among the two motorcycle owners who were robbed, one was beaten up on the head by the bandits. One 2006 C90-model and one 2007 C125-model motorcycles were robbed by the bandits After the incident, the Ang Snuol police force came out to ambush the robbers also, but it seems that these robbers have their hideout, and they knew where the cops set up their checkpoints, this information allows them to safely escape.
