Even Hun Xen NEEDS to READ KI-MEDIA: Once again, the Cambodian government is accused in recent weeks of shutting down KI-Media because it published an article claiming that Hun Xen suffers from lung cancer because he smokes cigarettes, however, Hun Xen reacted by saying sternly that he does not have lung cancer and that he continues to puff cigarettes. Hun Xen added that those who will die first is not him, but it is the KI-Media group which looked down on him.
Because a number of Internet users cannot access the KI-Media website in the past, some believe that this website is shut down by the government.

A high-ranking government official claimed that the government has no plan to shut down the KI-Media website because this site criticizes and attacks the Cambodian government leaders and high-ranking government officials. The official indicated that the government needs to read and follow up on various critical information and that it is important to preserve the freedom to receive information, freedom of expression and freedom of the press in Cambodia (sic!).

The claim was made by Khieu Kanharith, the Xmer minister of Information, during the World Press Freedom Day on 03 May 2011 in Phnom Penh which was attended by the president of the journalist association, UNESCO representatives and about 200 information students.

Khieu Kanharith, who is also the government mouthpiece, said that KI-Media is useful for the public and the government as well: “Accusing the government, we did not shut down KI-Media, but if it is blocked, it is another story, but when it comes to shutting it down, we don’t shut it down. Don’t ask us anymore, the government’s goal is not to shut it down and I need to read it also, so I may know what they are doing, their activities.”

Dumb-cho Hun Xen admits: He sneaks and reads websites blocked by his dictatorial regime

On 27 April 2011, in response to scorns from Thai leaders and a group of Khmer “Yellow Shirts”, Hun Xen said that all these people will die before he does.

Hun Xen’s comments came after Suthep Thaugsuban, the Thai deputy prime minister, commented on his health. Hun Xen’s health condition was published by a pro-opposition website. The report indicated that Hun Xen’s health condition was serious and he was hospitalized in Singapore whereas he was vacationing in Sihanouk province with the provincial governor.

Hun Xen said: “I will not die [KI-Media Note: Does he have eternal life?]. You will die before I do because you are older than me…[KI-Media Note: Sorry Old StrongMan, you are much older than any of us] My voice, I can speak loud [even] without using speakers, I can be heard in the entire room... They said I have lung cancer… With such a loud voice, can you say that I have lung disease?... This is what Ah [derogatory] Khmer Yellow Shirts cursed me, and then it was contagious to the Siamese Yellow Shirts in Bangkok that Hun Xen is sick. I am still alive and they say this much, and what would they say if I were to be really sick… But, Decho Xen does not die easily. The more the Yellow Shirts curse me, it is tantamount to the [Thai] government cursing me. You allow the Yellow Shirts to curse on me and wanting to cut my neck to take my blood to wash their feet, to take my head and stick it on a pole, but I never cursed Abhisit with cutting his neck, nor did I curse any Thai citizen.”

Hun Xen added that in the past, numerous former KR leaders, including Pol pot, they all cursed his life, but at the end they all died before Hun Xen.
-----------------
KI-Media Note: How else would Hun Xen know that his health condition was published by an alleged pro-opposition website, unless he is reading this website? Therefore, it means that Hun Xen sneaked and read the information about his health condition posted on several websites that are currently blocked by his dictatorial regime.

Hun Sen Has Lung Cancer

(Photo: Reuters)

BREAKING NEWS

Reliable sources in Beijing, Singapore and Phnom Penh indicate that Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, a heavy smoker, is suffering from fast-evolving lung cancer.

The information comes from medical, diplomatic and private sources based in the three capital cities.

Hun Sen has been recently seen in hospitals in Singapore and Beijing at a time when there was no announcement of any trip abroad in the prime minister’s schedule.

In the second half of June 2010 Hun Sen disappeared for ten days, which prevented him from receiving UN envoy Surya Subedi, attending a meeting of the Council of Ministers and, more importantly, taking part in the ceremony commemorating the 59th anniversary of the ruling CPP on June 28 in Phnom Penh. The reason clumsily invoked for Hun Sen’s disappearance was “swine flu” but nobody in Cambodia believes in the official explanation. Five other Cabinet members, who had allegedly also caught the strange disease, knew nothing about it.

Quitting Smoking Early Reduces Risk, Doctor Says

Not only is smoking a leading cause of lung cancer, but the nicotine in cigarettes might hurt the immune system's response to growths, a doctor said Thursday.

The length of time and the number of cigarettes per day a person smokes both factor into the chances of lung cancer, said Dr. Taing Tek Hong, as a guest on "Hello VOA" Thursday.

The sooner a person stops smoking, the lower the risk of lung cancer, he said.

Symptoms of lung cancer include shortness of breath, chronic coughing, coughing up blood, chest pain, a hoarse voice and difficulty breathing, Taing Tek Hong said.

Other causes of lung cancer include radon gas and asbestos, he said.
