The National Assembly (NA) has set up a health consultation and a medical emergency office for MPs and officials from the NA secretary office, and these services will be operating from December on. In a communiqué issued by Leng Peng Long, the NA secretary-general, on 19 December 2007, the latter indicated that, based on the spirit of the decision made by the NA permanent committee on 11 December, the NA secretary office has set up a medical emergency office on the first floor of the NA building, and it will be staffed with consulting medical personnel starting from December on.
