The Australia-Cambodia Association profoundly regrets that KI Media has decided to publish such an offensive cartoon attacking Ambassador Julio A. Jeldres, who has been a loyal friend of Cambodia, has helped enormously in the re-settlement of Cambodian refugees and, it should not be forgotten, established the Khmer Institute of Democracy (KID) in Phnom Penh in 1992. KI Media does itself tremendous damage to its image by constantly publishing the vicious and hateful cartoons of Mr Bun Heang, who is obviously a very bitter person, enjoying the freedoms (and probably social security handouts) of Australia. This is not freedom of expression but a prostitution of that freedom
