Vietnamese and Cambodian naval forces will cooperate closely in all fields of mutual concern to promote the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries’ people.
This was affirmed at a meeting of the Vietnam Naval High Command’s delegation led by Colonel Pham Van Hoanh, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy with the Royal Cambodian Navy led by Rear Admiral Mien Va on August 10, in the framework of the delegation’s working visit to Cambodia from August 9-13.
Speaking at the meeting, Hoanh spoke highly of the Royal Cambodian Navy’s coordination with the naval zone 5 of Vietnam in maintaining security and order in historical territorial waters between the two countries and promptly addressing sea-related issues to contribute to preserving regional peace and stability.
