The French-language independent newspaper Phnom Penh Cambodge Soir carries on 5 April a report by LD saying the National Assembly's Standing Committee has included in the assembly's 7 April session the "vote on the government lineup and on the parliamentary commission allocation."

Following the vote, the report adds, the Sam Rainsy Party [SRP] "should chair two commissions--the Commission of Foreign Affairs and the Commission of Interior, National Defense, and Suppression." The SRP will also "obtain the post of vice chairman of the Human Rights Commission and of the Education Commission" as well as "three secretary posts" in three of the nine assembly commissions and "two memberships" in each commission.

Besides, the report further says, Tep Nonnary, former FUNCINPEC [National United Front for an Independent, Neutral, Peaceful, and Cooperative Cambodia] Kandal province governor, will be nominated as state secretary of interior to replace Kong Hunthirit, who has been dismissed recently. Moreover, Sim Son, recently dismissed as FUNCINPEC Siemreap province governor, will be nominated as the state secretary of rural development to replace Duon Samuon, who has resigned, the Cambodge Soir report concludes.
