Opposition party leader Sam Rainsy says that his Sam Rainsy party (SRP) never forbids its members to participate in the Cambodia Center for Human Rights' (CCHR) public forums.
Sam Rainsy says his party leaves it up to the SRP lawmakers and members to decide whether they want to participate in CCHR public forums or not.
Last month, SRP announced its boycott of the CCHR forums because it said CCHR forums criticized SRP. SRP then issued a press release saying that CCHR uses foreign aids to serve its ambitions.
But now Sam Rainsy says that SRP and CCHR do not have conflicts or quarrels. He adds that SRP still continues to cooperate with CCHR according to its roles.
Sam Rainsy says he does not intend to mend the fences because he says the SRP and CCHR (led by Mr. Kem Sokha) did not have any quarrel in the first place.
