Free Trade Union of Workers for the Kingdom of Cambodia (FTUWKC) says it plans to have a joined effort with workers, to stage a demonstration protesting against a lawyer from the Cambodian Bar Association.
According to FTUWKC, Nach Try is responsible for the firing of a number of factory workers and labor union leaders. Trade Union president, Chea Mony claims that Nach Try's accusations led to the arrest of the workers ordered by the Cambodian court.
Nach Try alleged that the workers were responsible of stealing the company's properties, which in turn violated the company's regulations.
Ky Tech, director of the Bar Association says that he has been informed about the planned demonstration, but urged FTUWKC to submit their request for protest to the City Council.
