Letter to the Editor
THE CAMBODIA DAILY
For the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, 2006 was a rather productive year. While the tribunal is so close to reaching its ultimate objective, it is still very far as there remains much more work to do.
Expectedly, most of us are frustrated by this. But we are also very eager to see the developments of the ECCC as they unfold.
I sincerely hope that 2007 will be a better and more productive year for the tribunal and that we will work together to bring about a process that we can all contribute to. This collaborative process is for the people of Cambodia and for genocide victims worldwide. It is also fundamentally, a search for truth and justice.
