Hun Sen irritated by oil revenue questions

The constant public concerns over the spending of the future oil and gas revenue is a subject of irritation for Prime Minister Hun Sen.

At a speech given at the beginning of June, during the inauguration of the construction site for the Prek Ta Meak bridge which will be built with Chinese aid, Hun Sen asked once that this subject be dropped.

Recently again, at a press conference held in Tokyo on 15 June, in an answer to a question by a reporter of The Cambodia Daily newspaper, about the transparency in the spending of the expected (oil) revenue, Hun Sen called on everybody to help find money for Cambodia rather than talking about spending money which only exists on paper.

Hun Sen said: “I am tired of all the comments regarding the concerns over something not to be concerned about. I thank all those who are concerned with an issue that is not of concern. Right now, the treasure (oil and gas) is still under the sea, and we don’t know if it is there or not, but they are concerned about spending, and some even went on to make comments criticizing the government for lack of transparency in the spending of oil revenue when we have not seen a penny from it yet. Your newspaper is famous for raising this issue, and I am telling you my comment to The Cambodia Daily: ‘Mr Hun Sen calls on everybody to help find money for Cambodia, this is better than discussing about spending the money that we don’t even have.’”

I think this article really bothers him alot because it really interrupts the secret plan for personal benefit. Everyone concerns because there were experiences in other countries, that's why it is talked now. If it is over then there will be no talk about it but to restore it.
Just listen what they talk! Normally, the PM is the only one to talk about every topic, but never listen to anyone.

Thaks to the Cambodia daily staff who was asking this question! well done. Corruption law hasn't been drafted yet then H Xen and its CPP will use the money to support its Party that's why whenever you ask this question, he, H Xen gets furious immedietely.
