The Cambodia Daily reported today that Lim Kean Hor, the minister of water resources and meteorology, told its reporter, on Sunday, that prime minister Hun Sen removed Khim Bo, the Kandal province governor, as well as two other deputy provincial governors, from their positions for their involvements in the filling of Boeng Kob Srov Lake perpetrated by a private company. Lim Kean Hor told the newspaper over the phone that the Kandal provincial governor and his two deputies were removed from their positions because of their involvements and a number of various other issues related to the Boeng Kob Srov Lake. Lim Kean Hor said that Chhun Sirun, the deputy governor of Phnom Penh city will take over the position of Khim Bo as the provincial governor. Lim Kean Hor also indicated that Hé Kan and Cheng Nhan, the two Kandal deputy provincial governors were also removed. Khim Bo, Hé Kan, and Cheng Nhan are all members of the ruling CPP party.

It's about time they clean up their acts within their rank and file. This abuse of power has gone on for so long because of their party affiliation. Do these sacked people belong to the Chea Sim/Sar Kheng camp by any chance?
Now there is another lake at the heart of Phnom Penh at risk: Boeung Kak Lake. There are also plans to fill it up for housing development. This lake has taken in excess water from Phnom Penh since its early days. Filling it up would be a disaster waiting to happen. Those responsible officials should not be blinded by excessive greed. They should be less intoxicated and more accountable on their watch.
To all Cambodian
You could see now the corruptors who was a high rank from CPP. Please think for new election 2008, would you like to change the absolute power government? it's depend on you to think and decise for the future of Cambodia. If Hun Sen will be PM again then everything will the same today and worse than today.
