PHNOM PENH: A homemade explosive device went off at a friendship monument in Cambodia on Sunday, police said.
Three devices were found at the Cambodian-Vietnamese Friendship Monument in Phnom Penh, police said, but no one was injured. The device did not appear to contain any shrapnel, police said.
"It seems intentional," said Phnom Penh Police Chief Touch Narot. There is still-strong anti-Vietnamese sentiment in Cambodia, fuelled by resentment over neighboring Vietnam's past territorial expansions.
Vietnam invaded Cambodia in 1978, ousted Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge regime and occupied the country for a decade.
Although Vietnamese forces withdrew in 1989, many Cambodians are suspicious of Hanoi's intentions, fearing it wants to take Cambodian territory again.

Every fucken time I walked next to this fucken Vietcong monument, I really feel very degrading as Cambodian! This fucken monument is trying to convey some fucken ideas which didn't even exist! This fucken monument is trying to show that the Vietcong are saving or helping the Cambodian woman and her child! If the Vietcong really save Cambodian people why do 2 million Cambodian people have to die!!!Why?
It is the fact that the Khmer Rouge soldiers were attacking the Vietcong and the Vietcong response back with a full scale invasion of Cambodia to take advantage of the Killing Field! The Vietcong prolong the war for another 10 years which more Cambodian people were dying fighting another Cambodian people!
Remembered! The Vietcong prevented all international aid from reaching Cambodian people for 2 years since the invasion and by then hundred of thousand and thousand more Cambodian people died of starvation! Now tell me! Is this saving Cambodian people by the Vietcong? No! This is more killing by the Vietcong of Cambodian people!
Shame on the Vietcong who claimed as the liberator!

Vietnamese tactic of causing chaos in Cambodia so that business will never occur. They are trying to scare potential investors from making Cambodia grow. No one is claiming responsibility, it might look like Khmers are behind this but really it might be those in Hanoi.
Change the regime and everything else will go with it!
This is just a test. We will give them a big suprise one day. All KHMER must stand strong and defeat this aggressor. Get out of Cambodia and let Cambodia run its own affair. Whatever inside Cambodia is Cambodian internal affair. BRAVO CAMBODIA!! Destroy those disgrace monument.

^^^ business? please...no one wants business in an already unstable land where the people can't even voice their own opinions. Might as well go on with the movement. Yes, a movement, not chaos. If this movement can get rid of the Vietnamese terrorists, peace will come and businesses will come to Cambodia.
DOWN WITH THE STATUE
My question to Cambodian Authorithy is that why don't you build Cambodian Heros who fought for Khmer Nation?, There are many-many Cambodian Heros, males and females who dedicately die for Cambdia. You name them. Ajar Sva Por Kam Bo, Nakta Klang Moeung, Sdach Korn and so on.
What's about yourselve, too? when you die, the country forgets you.
