Prime Minister Hun Sen made the comment during the weekly meeting of Cabinet Ministers in Phnom Penh. He expressed his firm commitment in defending the privilege and immunity of the former King Norodom Sihanouk and considered the proposed letter made by the US-based Khmer Rouge Action Committee for Justice and Equity an unfair proposal aiming at destabilizing the national stability, bringing the nation to dead and turn the victim to the criminal.
He attributed the genocidal holocaust in Cambodia from 1975 to 1979 to the coup d’etat occurred on March 18, 1970, which was, he said, supported by a powerful country, but he did not identified that country. If there was no coup, there is no Khmer Rouge, the Government and the throne is stable forever, Prime Minister Hun Sen said.
The Khmer Rouge Action Committee for Justice and Equity has sent a letter to the National Assembly President Heng Samrin, asking the National Assembly to convene an extraordinary session to deprive the former King’s immunity from his royal privacy and declare null and void the 3rd sentence of the article 7 of the national Constitution, as transitional period to allow the international trial to proceed the legal process.
Cambodian Constitution’s Article 7 provided that the King of Cambodia shall reign but shall not govern. The King shall be the Head of State for life. The King shall be inviolable.
In a press release issued last Friday, the Royal Government expressed its firm stand to oppose the idea to bring the former king for the court, saying the problem has been completely solved right after the king retired.

Finally, I can understand your point of view in trying to bring
N.Sihanouk to trial. You have frequently said from the beginning that "you need to sweep off the internal ghost first, so that you willsweep off external ghost later".
In order to balance by critical thought and practical argument, I
don't absolutely disagree with you because by conditions and situations it can be like that. But your theory of eliminating internal ghost first before external ghost is not exactly universal truth.
Especially, Jame or others, if you all look at the Pol Pot's leadership. He is not different from Jame's perspective. Pol Pot hated Yuan terribly; and in order to overcome Yuan, he started his mission by uprooting all of suspects around his butt. The result of this theory left us trauma, suffering and it absolutely become the tool of Yuan (once Pol Pot's enemy). No body destroyed Pol Pot regime, but he destroyed this regime himself following the theory of destroying internal enemy (ghost).
Jame, look at Communist Ho Chi Minh, if you are living in US you can go to Vietnamese towns/villages to ask those learned individuals
Vietnamese such as doctors or lawyers; most of them are democratic activists during the Vietcong war. They were absolutely opposing the Communist Ideology of Ho Chi Minh; but Ho didn't execute them. In contrast, he sent/migrated them to foreign countries. Now those learned individuals must pay gratitude to Ho and they have patriotic consensus that for the national benefits, they will not destroy each others or build hate each other.
Now, you are all considered as learned Khmer oversee who has always felt bad and frustrated with N.Sihanouk, can see more and more of how much Hun Sen has legitimacy, without hesitation, he repeat again and again to protect N.Sihanouk. Doing so, Hun Sen and CPP can gain huge benefits. I can say that these benefits come from making Khmers hate Khmers. These benefits can also deceive Cambodian people not to see who is behind CPP; and not to see the secrete planning of Hanoi inside CPP. But in reality, I hope you agree with me, Cambodian Monarchy Institution has been terribly manipulated by Hun Sen.
At least but not last, Hun Sen is not different from N.Sihanouk or Pol Pot that they are just the political tool under the "win-win strategy" of Hanoi.

Is it not obvious,Hun Sen has to strategize his self defense?If Sihanouk goes down,CPP and Hun Sen will be hung by his peers, DK elements.
To pretend he is defending Sihanouk is to lock out the hard core Khmer Rouge leaders within CPP rank from ressurecting.
Along Thai Khmer borderline from Pailin,Malai,Au Chrao,Thmar Puok,Preah Vihear,Kompong Thom and around Kulen- Angkor Wat,Khmer Rouge leadership network is still intact but silent.
He also insinuates SRP sympathisers are actually Khmer Rouge elements.

There was not and is not any of "Khmer Rouge leadership networking is still intact but silent". Khmer Rouge can be created any time by YUONS themselves.
Inside Cambodia in every 10 Khmers one YUON's spies will watching them for every move khmer make.
YUON's armforces + YUON's slave Vietminh-CPP-Hun Sen/Hok Lundi contain all the weapons and tanks, Khmer Rouge are empty hands at the moment.
You and us must help Cambodia by not let Khmer Rouge leaders and Khmer Rouge remnant troops re-arms by China again. China and Khmer Rouge does not know how to fight with YUONS, Remember Dcember 1978 to 7th January 1979.
Most importantly we all true Khmer must be united to liberate Khmer land and 8-10 true Khmer people from YUONS/China as soon as possible.

He or She will be one of the best leader among other good, honest, loyal leader for Khmer in the future, get to know him or her personally then you will agree with me.
I like your posting but how to the turn the remaing Khmer Rouge+Vietminh-CPP-Hun Sen, Sihanouk+all the royal crooks not toremain inside YUONS/CHINA cages for ever is the best endeavour, don't you think????????

Cambodia's had cancers that were embedded into her by China+YUONS+Vietminh-CPP-Hun Sen+all royal's crooks through traitor Sihanouk's flesh and blood, also through his YUON's wife Monique and Sihanouk’s clique.
To have a true and lasting peace for Cambodia these cancers have to be removed once for all, either by the law of ECCC-KRT or by any means, as long as the majority agree with.
If these cancers remain inside Cambodia without proper treatments YUONS will continue to swallow us bit by bit every day and China will gobble the whole region without mercy toward Cambodia land and all Khmer people, with the last assistance of NORODOM SIHANOUK-HUN SEN.

Nong-Yuon,Tai-Kaidai and Qin are all in the elites bedrooms and massage parlors in Nom Benh now.Some are in Council of Ministers already,that's why Ang Mei and Ang Daung descendants play the brownish Hun Sen, Heng Sanrin,Chea Sim,like yo-yo.
Nonetheless,my hope remains,what goes up must crashing down,by then we are all at ground level then we can see fit what to treat them once for all.
