The Khmer Kampuchea-Krom Community (KKKC) issued a statement in reply to the press conference conducted the Vietnamese embassy last Friday, in which, the Vietnamese ambassador to Cambodia claimed that Monk Tim Sakhorn, the former abbot of the Phnom Den north pagoda, was jailed in Vietnam because he undermined the religion between the two countries.
In its statement issued on Monday, Thach Setha, KKKC director, considered the declaration made by Nguyen Chien Thang, the ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Cambodia, does not reflect the truth, and that the latter does not dare accept the responsibility of the Vietnamese (oppression) actions perpetrated against Khmer Krom people and monks.
Thach Setha said also the undermining or the rupture of the Khmer Buddhism relationships between Cambodia and Kampuchea Krom, was not perpetrated by former Monk Tim Sakhorn, but that it was through the action perpetrated by the Vietnamese colonialist regime which must bear the responsibility, for example, in the closing of the branch of the Buddhism Institute located in Khleang village (Soc Trang in Vietnamese) until now.
On Monday also, Phnom Penh SRP MP Son Chhay sent a letter to Nguyen Chien Thang requesting a working meeting with him, and an authorization to personally meet with Monk Tim Sakhorn who was defrocked by force, and recently sent to Vietnam.
Son Chhay demanded that the Vietnamese ambassador provides him and a number of his colleagues the ability to visit Monk Tim Sakhorn, and allow him to visit on his own the actual living condition of the million of Khmer (Krom ) people. Son Chhay said that he is concerned that Monk Tim Sakhorn is being tortured or killed while in jail.

Monk Tim Sakhorn is accused of undermining the religion of both countries,Cambodia and Vietnam. If he holds both citizenships, whatever wrong doing he committed in Cambodia, he was defrocked then should be trialed in Cambodia. On what ground that he was sent ,jailed and tortured in Vietnam?.Would this rule appied to all Vietmese who are currently living in Cambodia committed crime?.This proves that political trick has been played.Good work of MP Son Chhay has to be praised so that this power abuse is stopped. It is ashamed that other people is more concerned than Cambodian government.Articles 8 and 9 should be prevailed by our king, according to Royal constition of Cambodia.Human right organisation hopefully is working closely with the king.Intervention by the king is an imperative if cambodian right is maintained.
Whose dare to talk and accuse Hun Sen and Vietnam do the bad thing to Cambodian people and Khmer Krom? Only Sam Rainsy party members and Khmer Krom representatives are dare to talk. The rest of Khmer leaders including the king are silent. Why? They're afraid of lossing power and put in jail by their boss as they jailed Pen Sovann. Where is Kem Sokha who some idiot people support him? Kem Sokha walks the wrong path and he only works for Hun Sen to divide the vote. He helps Hun Sen to win 2008 election. This guy tries to get his fame.
It is obvious that Kem Sokha's Human Right Party is only human right in the name. They dare not walk the talk. Kem Sokha only works for Hun Sen to divide the vote and for his own fame.
The accusation that ah! yuon authority and its people made to monk Tim Sakhorn who is a Cambodian nationality is baloney. There were no concrete evidences which supported that claims by ah! yuon pests when they made the arrest. There were phony claims that monk Tim Sakhorn committed crimes against both pests. Them stupid ass-holes Tep Vong,Non nget, Kiev Sophak and their government fabricated that story in order to make the arrest legal. Ah! yuon pests have tons of tactics to kill poor innocent khmer people until they become small tribes and live in spotted areas in the country. Ah! yuon pests system to kill most but not all Khmers so then they will become the indigenous people like Kampuchea Krom today. Khmer must kill the root cause which breaks up Khmer people from being loving each other to hate one another.
Pure Khmer.
