A citizen's watchdog group is hoping to hold a protest to call for the release of defrocked monk who has been detained in Vietnam for more than a month.
Supporters of incarcerated monk Tim Sakhorn have steadily called for his release from Vietnam, in a low-intensity information campaign that shows no sign of letting up.
Organizers said Thursday they were planning a "major" protest in hopes of pressuring Vietnamese authorities to release him.
"We hope that we succeed in our demand," said Rong Chhun, head of the Cambodia Watchdog group, which is planning the march. "It's not such as serious case that Tim Sakhorn had to be defrocked and sent to Vietnam."
Vietnam maintains Tim Sakhorn is a Vietnamese citizen who crossed back into Vietnam without proper documentation after his monkhood was taken away by Cambodian Buddhist authorities and so must be held accountable according to Vietnamese law.

Being Asian is suck sometime. Cause most of the time, most asian mind is about who is better, who is able to put another being down. Absolutely no different being like some black people, fighting and killing or suppressing each other !So, I am trying to say is that most asian people especially in the south east area are suffering due to these idiots, and the powerfull goverment ! Asian people are malnutrist, no job, prostition, prostitution to foreigner... I am pointing fingers at these idiots and the government for the people suffering... Does Europeans, the whites suffers like asian people does ???? Offcourse not !!!!
You got to be kidding me to blame all Southeast Asian! In the beginning Cambodia was a neutral country and prosper until the who know what start sending their jet fighters, bombers, gun and ammo, thousand of army into Cambodia and everything in Cambodia went down hill even since!
Don't even blame Cambodia!
Fuck all the Vietcong dog eaters because their oppression will only lead to more violent and instability! God demand the Vietcong government to release Monk Tim Sakhorn now!
