About 300 people coming from various states in the US, who are supporting the CPP, including Sea Kosal, the Cambodian representative at the UN, and a number of other Cambodian diplomats, celebrated the 29th anniversary of 07 January in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The celebration took place on Saturday 05 January, 2 days prior to the official celebration organized by the CPP in Phnom Penh city.
Sea Kosal, the official representing the CPP, said about the meaning of 07 January: “Today, we are gathering to remember and celebrate the 07 January victory, which is a day that gave us our second birth, because, without 07 January 1979, we all wouldn’t be present here, and our country during that time, would be completely destroyed already.”
For the CPP supporters, 07 January is considered as a liberation day from the yoke of the Pol Pot Khmer Rouge killing, however, the opposition parties consider 07 January as the day of the aggression and invasion of Cambodia by the Vietnamese army.
Som Kealey, the representative of the CPP branch office in Philadelphia, said that 07 January is not an evil day like the opposition claim. Som Kealey said: “This day is the super victory of our (Xmer?) brothers who came from various states and Canada, New York, etc… to participate in the celebration of 07 January, the super victory day of (Vietnam over) Cambodia.”

a day worths celebrating for some khmers and I do agree! Superficially that what they see as being the truth when Khmer was "liberated" but let pause and think "how many Khmers were killed during the liberation? And who are the real killers of the Khmer Rouge regime?" There are compelling evidences that Vietnam played a grave role during the rule of the khmer rouge. In the end they twisted and turned as the rescuers of Cambodia.
Piss off Sam Rainsy Party, CPP please wake up and fuck the vietnamese, all Khmers are behind you now. If you can do this, Khmer in the world will honour you as Kings of the nation and the nation will be reunited. CPP will rule forever.

Both of above comments support Ah Kwak Hun Sen and CPP who destroyed Khmer people and land. You celebrated Hanoi victory to take Khmer under their control. Do you know who behind Hun Sen and his CPP? The guy named Ong Teur who has been working for Hanoi during Lon Nol regime. He is the undercover for Hanoi movement. He resided in Phnom-Penh to buy supplies for Hanoi. Since then, He is still in Cambodia to tell Hun Sen what to do. He works for Hanoi to get to Hochiminh's goal and dream. Their dream is to make Cambodia and Lao under their control. But, Khmer never wakes up including the king and other Khmer leaders.
Majority of Pennsylvania Khmer residents are poor people from the jungle in Cambodia. These people are uneducated and they supported Hun Sen. Majority of Khmer in the US do not support Ah Hun Sen and CPP.
Khmer people must know that the Cambodia is only name exist; but not the country. this country is part of Indochina Fedaration. CPP is only part of Communist Indochina. Whatevever, they do now is under the leadership of the Indochina Federation and who leads it is Yuon.
What Khmer people has to do is to educate each other to fight take the country back.
No one support AR Kvak Hun xen; but we, khmer, have to know that our Cambodia was sold for long time ago. The only left is name and it will slowly desappear.
You see those criminal clan slowly becoming a cpp. They smell something. this reason, the people who has power today sell everything, crap everything from the people because they the YUON is slowly swallow Cambodia.
no one has the right to sell Cambodia, Cambodia exist in the hearts and in the physical boundary of Khmerland, even today is small.
But it will lose its control if its citizens will not take it back. But it has not been sold to nobody, as this land does not belong to Hun Sen or Former King, this land is the land of the brave and spirit Khmer people, the land of Soma, Suravarman, Javarmans and the people who sacrafice their lives to see it free.
The land is free, when we take our freedom back from those who oppress it and try to steal it? I don't know. But no one can sell our freedom, they can only steal, do we let them take it or do we fight back for it?
That is the question all Khmer must ask.
