On behalf of the peace loving people of Cambodia, I would like to congratulate the appointment of Mr Lobsang Sangay as the new Kalon Tripa of the Tibetan-in-exile government.
It is with great anticipation that we await the outcome of his leadership. We appreciate the efforts and sacrifice of His Holiness Dalai Lama who is and, will continue to be a great fighter and influence for freedom for his people and will remain their spiritual leader. His ability to adapt to the needs of his people and give up this traditional and powerful role should also be both acknowledged and congratulated.
In September 2010 it was with great pride that I personally sat with the Dalai Lama during its 50 year celebration of the Tibetan Democracy Day and the establishment of Tibetan Institutions in Exile and this unprecedented step through democratically elect a lay person to the political leadership position sends a powerful message not only to China, but to the world, that Tibet will meet its challenges and is prepared to make the necessary changes and sacrifice for its people.
China’s hardline regime denies justice, dignity and freedom to the Tibetan people and threatens the very identity of this great People and Nation.
We will continue to support and be unified with you in your efforts to bring democracy to Tibet and bring it out of exile back to the country where it rightfully belongs.

Son Chhay is a liar and corrupt. He accepted money ($10,000)from Hun Sen in 1997 and Hun Sen's business crony Kith Meng in 2008 - before the National Assumbly Swearing-In-Ceremony! This is a fact!

All Khmer people must learn and be prepare from Tibet because eventually Cambodia is gone from the World map by the Vietnamese expansion. Tibet government in exile is in India, Cambodian are nothing compare to Tibet unity, organize, strong, smart, toughness, etc. Tibet has been fought peaceful demonstrations with the Chinese for 50 years.
Can someone please explain to me who is in charge of SRP?
If Mr. Rainsy wants China to help his party against Yuon (he supported China against Vietnam is South China Sea dispute), why does Mr. Son Chhay keep insulting China by siding with Tibet?
SRP leadership is full of contradiction, not to say stupidity!
Son Chhay's action is irresponsible. He does not care about his country or party. He just wants and hopes to gain some spotlight by siding with Dalai Lama!

I am really very disappointed with Opposition party for not having their own vision how to win election and to protect Cambodia. Now they cannot even protect Cambodia from control by Vietnam and how they can interfere with China politic by allying themselves with Tibet? I believe that most Cambodian would express the same opinion for their disappointment. If you are stirring China problem, you will become a dead duck that is for sure. Why I say so? Tibet was part of China since 1271 by invasion of Mongolian and it as Mongol who has established China. The Han people had removed Mongol from 1368 till 1644. But it was Manchu King who has Re-established China again by incorporating Tibet, XingJiang as part of China again.Therefore, China is a country which included of Tibet, Inner Mongol, Manchury and Xingjiang. Our Khmer Krom was given to Vietnam illegally in 1949, Cambodian couldn't even take it back for Cambodia and how come Tibet was part of China since 1271 could separate from China ? If that could happen, how about Sokhothai which had declared independent from Cambodia in 1238? I believe that all opposition parties in Cambodia should concentrate about Cambodia first. Once we can get full independent in politic, in economic and then at that time we could help other. If you are stirring China politic, you have no light to govern your country at all. That is 100% sure. A lesson needs to be learnt. I also want to give all opposition members to learn too that among all leaders of the world who are working for American government, only Marshall Lon Nol could survived until his death, many other would have killed by USA. Vong Pao was one of the most loyal to USA and at his 80" USA put him in prison for only caring for his Nation. Only China is caring for her true friends.

Where is evidence that China has killed Khmer in KR? Could you read English or French from all Sinahouk memoirs? Sihanouk has indicated accurately that Chinese Leaders, such as Mao Ste Tong and Zhou Enlai, have reminded to Pol Pot and Ieng Sary again and again for not copying Chinese communist style. It was these killers who wanted all Cambodian to be their slaves, have forced Cambodian to work day and night and killed all our bright people. Now, it is Hun Sen again who wanted all Cambodian to be his families slaves have evicted people from their lands and forced to them to work for their new employers who were all Hun Sen business general managers ( all Oknhas). If you are still sleepy and do not know who are the real enemies of Cambodian people, Cambodian will face suffering from one leader into another leader all the time.
Son Chhay is playing the US's card that is why he visited His Holiness Dala Lama. He does not do by himself, may be US is behind him.
Recently China warned the US not to meet Dala Lama, then Obama did meet Dala Lama. Later Dala Lama retired. Not even that the US helped for the very first time to elected Prime Minister of Tibet.

China did not kill Khmer people, it was Pol Pot against Viet Cong army in Pol Pot's regime. Pol Pot invited Viet Congs to help him and the Viet Cong had never left Cambodia, they transformed themselves into Khmer Rouge, they spoke fluently Khmers and wore black clothes like Pol Pot army.

The SRP is playing a deadly and unintelligent game of politics by upsetting China in its foreign policy of supporting Tibet.
A government in Cambodia cannot be hostile to China and supporting Tibet. Even though such a policy looks good and commendable, it is certainly suicidal.

U.S has never been a big player in Cambodia except in Lon Nol regime. Cambodian has never been important to the U.S geographically and economically. Each country has her own interest. We have nothing much to offer the U.S, hence U.S won't help SRP much. That's why you wonder why Sam Rainsy is still out there begging from one country to another. U.S never pays much attention in helping Rainsy to return to Cambodia.
