RFI’s weekly guest on Saturday 31 December is MP Son Chhay, the SRP whip. In response to questions raised by Kuoch Kantheara, Son Chhay indicated that the swearing by SRP commune councilors was done on a volunteer basis and that it is not a dictatorial action. At the same time, Son Chhay is vehemently opposed to any swearing that is contradictory to the true will of the people.

Son Chhay's creditability is at stake of his ability as SRP's parliament member to promote the party political platforms. As the SRP is weakening, we need a stronger opposition party that can promote social stability and a hard-line stand the impunity CPP regime. Or the Sam Ransy must step down and appoint Ms. Sokhua as a president since she's more vocals on social critics in the kingdom and has more support and recognize from world politicians. Sam Ransy's political agendas are weak no longer praise by his constituents and soon will be sway to CPP side.
The problem with the opposition is that they don't have the alternate solution to the problem. They only accuse the Gov. of wrong doing and encourage the revolution.
Did they take a pole in the country ??
How many people want to have a revolution !!
Revolution don't feed your family, you know !!
Not like Sam Rainsy, even though he is not working for a living, he still has money coming in to support his life style.
It is easy for him to say "Go out and do this or that !! "
People are busy making a living. No body have that kind of time to wast !!!!
Any one can do like Sam Rainsy if they have money to support their family.
This is the real issue !!!!
For young Cambodian, they have two choices, either focus on their carrer or go out to the street and protest !!!
Many of them decided to focus on their carrer instead. It is the right decision.
