Cambodian Youth Remember their King Father

25 October  2012
By Mu Sochua

Cambodian youth remember their King Father.

The out-pouring of grief and nationwide call for compassion from our leaders is a call for peace, for respect and for dignity of our people.

The government's decision to consider 23 October as a national holiday is a positive sign. Next step is for the government to respect the spirit and the principles inscribed in the Paris Peace Accords: defense of territorial sovereignty; free and fair elections; human rights protection. No return to the past.

We salute our youth and their call for peace
