I invite you to visit the Maginot Line with me, near Thionville, Moselle, Lorraine, in the Eastern part of France, a few kilometers from the border with Germany.
The Maginot Line was built in the 1930's as military defense fortifications to help resist another German invasion, which actually occurred at the beginning of World War II in 1939 but... bypassed the French fortifications.
