Phnom Penh (The Cambodia Herald/ANN) - At least 400 prisoners will be released or have their sentences reduced for next month's funeral of the late King Father, Justice Minister Ang Vong Vathanak said yesterday.
Regarding two Thais convicted of espionage, he said a royal decree for reducing the sentence of Veera Somkwamkid and pardoning Ratri Pipattanaopaiboon would take effect on February 1 when the funeral begins.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Hun Sen asked the Ministry of Justice to consider pardoning the two Thais following a renewed appeal by Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
Among those who are not being granted clemency are opposition leader Sam Rainsy, who is believed to be living in France, and radio station owner Mam Sonando.

That is the tatic of this regime because the election is coming soon and they know lots of Khmer will don't vote CPP and they know the USA and EU will stand hard against this. Don't forget, after they will win election, they will catch all back.
The prime Minister Hun sen will do anything to block Samrainsy in to Cambodia because the New CNRP.will take over the CPP.in July 2013

Yes everyone know that because Khmers will never KAGN CHASS YOUN FOR EVER, esp. in the 21th century. Only the top of CPP cadres but the lower CPP mumbers who are real Khmers will chose the other party CNRP (because we know why most Khmer horo join them, incl. Mr former PM Pen Sovann) who serves for real Khmer interest, NOT FOR YOUN INTEREST AT ALL.

We thank you for your wisdom and decision.
Not often enough to hear a member of CPP voicing this kind of declaration.
Please follow your heart and your head to persuade higher level members of CPP.
May success be yours !!!
