Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao (R) seen shaking hands with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, is expected to visit Cambodia at the beginning of April under the invitation of prime minister Hun Sen. China is currently one of the largest funds provider to the Hun Sen regime.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will pay official visits to Australia, Fiji, New Zealand and Cambodia from April 1 to 8, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang.
During the visits, Wen will also attend the opening ceremony of the first China-Pacific Island Countries Economic Development and Cooperation Forum held in Fiji, said Qin on Wednesday.
Wen has been invited by Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia John Howard, Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji Islands Laisenia Qarase, Prime Minister of New Zealand Helen Clark and Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen.
During the visits, Wen will also attend the opening ceremony of the first China-Pacific Island Countries Economic Development and Cooperation Forum held in Fiji, said Qin on Wednesday.
