Former King Norodom Sihanouk will leave Pyongyang, Norh Korea, to return to Beijing, China, next Friday.

Prince Sisowath Thomico, the personal secretary of King-Father, said today that King-Father will return to Beijing for medical exam as ordered by his doctors.

However, the upcoming return of the former monarch to Cambodia which was earlier announced to be at the end of May, has not been confirmed yet.

Prince Thomico said: “… His Majesty will return to the People’s Republic of China first because he has to perform a medical exam once every 6 months. Therefore, he has to visit the Chinese hospital, then pending the medical exam results, he will decide when he is returning back … It is not certain yet, however, he wrote in his website last month, that he will return [to Cambodia] at the end of May…”
