In the evening of Friday 21 to Saturday, July 22, 2006, at 12:20 AM, TV5 let the young and very credible Mr. CARETTE speak freely, he just came to visit Cambodia to seriously investigate the Affair of the (very costly) Khmer-Foreign Tribunal in charge of trying some Khmer Rouge leaders guilty of crimes against Humanity.
Mr. Carette, while noting the death of the extremely-cruel and extremely-criminal Ta Mok, concluded that the famous Tribunal will finally have to judge only one single individual, “Commander” Duch … (if, 4 years from now, this Duch is still alive).
Spending US $56 million to try one man, even though extremely criminal [he was], will inevitably be judged with great severity by History itself.
Mr. Carette, very clearly, testified that in Cambodia, the Khmer people only think about assuring themselves a decent living and that only the Khmer Diaspora (sic!) in some foreign Countries are demanding for this Tribunal and this trial.
Other comments to Mr. Carette’s testimonial are superfluous.

Dear Sir,M.Preuk, Can you please tell us why Sihanouk always write in French languages? Can he writes Khmer languages properly? According to his biography, he has only finished primary school education in Phnom-Penh. Is that true Sir?
Dear Dummy!
During the time when Sihanouk went to school and even during the 60's when I was in Lycée, all sobjects except khmer language, are teaching in french.
In the next 10 years they will use Vietnamese in our education becuase the status of CPP was written in VN.

I still think that Khmer King should be able to write in Khmer.
That if we Khmer people mean anything to him. Otherwise just stay ignorant way he is.
I'm not 6:53p.m, but I think it would be more respectful of you not address your fellow Khmer in an appropriate tilte or a better way. Unless you too want to be an ugly Khmer!

The king can write in Khmer. Stop being so ignorant. Sihanouk is trying to make is point reach a wider audiences, including foreigners. He is also seemingly, stuck in the past of his Sangkum Reast Niyum fancy where almost everything are written in French.
For this point, I have to say I agree with him. It is very ridiculous to only trial one man and spend 56 million dollar plus!!! There is no justice in that. Stupid. Stupid. Drop the trial dead now!
No point at all. Don't just trial Duch. Make sure the king, and the rest of other top Khmer R. leader, Kieu Samphan, Noun Chea, etc. are going to be trial. And even let Hunsen testify if necessary!
Anybody wants to take a guess of whom will be the best can opener?
