Prince Norodom Chakrapong said that he had sued General Nhiek Bun Chhay, the secretary-general of Funcinpec for defamation and threat.

Prince Chakrapong, the older [half] brother of the current Cambodian King, said, regarding the lawsuit, that it was because General and vice-Prime Minister Nhiek Bun Chhay had accused him of forming a new political party and using the name of Prince Norodom Ranariddh.

Prince Chakrapong said: “Last week, my lawyer told me that he already brought forth the lawsuit. [RFA: Lawsuit on what count?] Don’t you remember? When he gave that press conference on defamation, he (Nhiek Bun Chhay) said that I am the one who formed the new political party which included the name of Samdech Krom Preah (Norodom Ranariddh). [RFA: Lawsuit on defamation?] Defamation and threat because he said that he will kick me out of the party.”

General Nhiek Bun Chhay has not reacted on this issue yet.

If I am Nhek Bun Chhay I will tell this animal Chakkrorpong to have a life and go to hell. What a stupid man on earth? How come you can sue someone just say you are open another party? What kind of fame you have to quality for a defamation. His name is rotten and smelly and what is his fame from?
