The 73-point agreement between Funcinpec and the CPP was concluded in 2004 when Cambodia was undergoing turmoil during the formation of the new government.

All the points included in the agreement correspond to the application of the reforms for the new government. However, critics said that the royalist Funcinpec party never pays attention to the points included in the agreement once it decided to join the government led by prime minister Hun Sen of the CPP.

It is been observed that the plan to revisit the agreements comes right after several senior Funcinpec government officials were fired from their government positions. Funcinpec officials complained that the CPP did not consult or obtained the green light from Funcinpec leaders.

Prince Ranariddh who returned back home recently after staying abroad for 5 months, said in a meeting yesterday, attended by Funcinpec supporters, in the province of Prey Veng, that he is planning to revisit the 73-point.

Prince Ranariddh said: “[We will] revisit the 73-point agreement which forms the basis of the agreement concluded with the CPP, to find out which of the 73 points we have not yet resolved, in our name as a partner of the government. The problem of government workers salary, the rise of the price of gas, the border problems, the problem of immigration which I asked for the formation of an immigration ministry, but they (CPP) did not form.”

There is no reaction yet from the CPP.

In his almost 1-hour speech in Prey Veng, the prince called for the reconciliation and end of internal fighting within Funcinpec. He said that the Cambodian political factions are not yet united, and he also discussed the idea of having Cambodia led by the former monarch, retired King Norodom Sihanouk.

Prince Ranariddh said: “We will form a mixed government, a government of national union under the leadership of Preah Ang (Norodom Sihanouk), and we will follow Preah Ang (Norodom Sihanouk) to build the country, and stop all fighting, then we will resolve land disputes, territory problems which the (former) King always defend. But, this is only a dream...”

My advice to Funcipec's current situation is stop create unrealistic dream...but work hard like SRP to help develop our poor nation.

Stop fucking dreaming you dick head Narraridth! Stop create more uneducated obtacle, let the current Government working...you should try working hard like SRP to fix current problems rather create new ones.

Anyone want your father (Sihanouk) to come back must be want to put Cambodia under new subjugation regime. Khmer never forget what your father have done to Khmer in the 60's and 70's.

Cambodia would be much better without Funcipec.

If there is no SRP, Khmer rather to join with CPP because these crooks never help or totally forgot those who helped them to get into power in 1993 and those who fight in 1980's.

Go to hell Funcipec...SRP is the only hope for Khmer!

This prince of darkness is trying to buy the votes with deception. He is lying to the Cambodian again. He knows that his father, Norodom Sihanouk, is finished with politics, but the prince is intentionally lie to the people.

Moreover, he is also lying about the 73 points. That's also being done. Krom Pret knows very well that Hun sen and his dogs will not agree to boarder dispute which has already been done. What is this prince trying to prove?

Hun sen doesn't want to provide any more position to Funcinpec that why Hun Sen fired most of Funcipen from position. Now, the prince tries to persuade Cambodian to support him and he will have some more positions to be given from immigration ministry.

I say, don't trust him Cambodian! He is no use, and it has been proved to us that for his two terms. He is the prince of scam!
