The government's proposal to the police to monitor Internet cafes in order to reduce pornography is just another example of Nero fiddling while Rome burns. The government should focus on the existing rule of law.
The proposal by the Minister of Post and Telecommunications to use police to monitor Internet cafes in order to reduce pornography is just another example of Nero fiddling while Rome burns ("Minister: Police Should Check Cafes for Porn," Saturday and Sunday, page 3).
Perhaps authorities should focus on catching alleged pedophiles and keeping them in jail rather than letting them walk out, as happened with US national Terry Darrell Smith.
While authorities are at it, perhaps they should examine the recent attacks and killings on the beaches of Sihanoukville.
Rather than creating new crimes, the government should focus on the existing rule of law, eliminating corruption, and increasing the legitimacy of the judicial and penal systems.

Thank you! Mr Roger Nault. I honestly think AH HUN SEN government use the issue of pornography as an excuse to crack down on the free flow of information over the internet that threaten his power and his government!
AH HUN SEN ain't that stupid and why would he care more about pornography than his power? AH HUN SEN by nature is a dictator and has addiction for power and more power( not pornography)! AH HUN SEN had fucked enough women and still do in his life time not to get addicted to pornography!
AH HUN SEN can employ his entire government staffs to crack down on the internet access but it is too late already! I am sure the Viettel will help AH HUN SEN in his quest to clamp down on the internet!
Monitoring Internet pornography? You don't need to go on the Internet to find one. Just follow those government official license-plated vehicles, and you will find the real live pornography and how Cambodian young women are treated.
