The lawyer of fugitive former police commissioner, Heng Pov hopes that his client will be able to receive political asylum in a third country, and vows to do everything possible to prevent extradition from being proceeded.

Speaking by phone Monday, David Chen told VOA that according to international law Heng Pov should not return to his country where he will be in fear for his life.

Mr. Chen says he hopes the international community will support his client in his endeavor to obtain asylum in a third country.

Mr. David Chen alleges that Mr. Heng Pov has left Singapore, and will not be extradited.

Heng Pov's lawyer praises the Singaporean authorities for not extraditing his client. He says Singapore's decision shows that Singapore is abiding by its international obligation by not returning a refugee seeker to his own country.

Mr. Heng Pov was charged by Phnom Penh Municipal Court of a number of serious crimes, including the murder of judge Sok Sethamony. He was arrested by the Singaporean authorities for immigration and visa violations.

In a nine-page report, Heng Pov implicated Prime Minister Hun Sen, National Police Commissioner, Hok Lundy, and other top officials in several criminal cases.

The Cambodian government says Heng Pov is a wanted criminal desperate for an asylum and is making up stories to win his case.

I hope so, the lawyer. Although Heng Pov was an alleged criminal his statement should be consider.
FBI should continue their investgation then show a clear result to diminish the culture of impunity of Hun Sen regime

Personally, I don't know what Heng Pov has done in the past. What kinds of crimes he commited to innocent Cambodian people. But, I heard for sure if he is to be sent back to Cambodia, he will be the next delicious meal for crocodiles. I heard Hun Sen doesn't need to kill his opponents by bullets anymore. Whoever opposes him, that guy or lady will be eaten by crocodiles. This is a silent killer and no one knows the cause of death. For your own safety, don't oppose Ah Hun Sen, his wife and the rest of his gangsters. He is back up by Vietnam. Vietnam controls Cambodia and Hun Sen from behind the scene. Westerners and US don't know who they deal with and those countries don't care much about Cambodia. If they care about Cambodia, they should help to eliminate Ah Hun Sen and Sihanouk regimes. These two are destroying Cambodia and her people.

Sounds familiar.

When the water raise, all kinds of fish compete to feed on the vunerable ants.

When the water subsided, all sizes of ants swarm the fish eyes.

When can we stop this cycle uncle Hun?
