Cambodian military officials claim Thai soldiers crossed into Cambodia and burned homes in Banteay Meanchey province.
The officials, speaking by telephone Wednesday to VOA Khmer, said six homes were destroyed. They claimed some 300 Thai soldiers were involved in the incident.
The officials, including Col. Khuon Vanna of a border unit and Hay Nam Heng, a commune chief in the town of the Poipet, said the Thai soldiers told villagers that they destroyed the homes because they were illicitly built on disputed territory.
The Thai Embassy's military attache to Cambodia was reached by telephone in Thailand and said he knew no details of the incident. The Thai ambassador could not be reached Wednesday for comment.

This is what happened when our leader is not strong. This is a wake call for Hun Sen to talk about the border between our neighbour. Everyone along the border should have weapons in their houses. Fuck the thais. They tortured us in the 1980s when we were refugees along the border, now they do it again. If Hun Sen government don't react, we should protest and go fuck them at the fucking thai embassy in Phnom Penh. Fuck you Ah thais.....

When Khmer burns Thai embassy, Ah Hun Sen paid them? Ah Hun Sen can only kill and itimidate khmer people only. he is silent and let them do whatever they want.
He gives away lands to Vietnam and now Thai wants some lands. Hor Nam Hong will go to Bangkok to sign more land to Thai.

It is a shame. Those Thais have been looking down on Cambodia for a very long time. They claimed Preah Vihear belonged to them, and without international support, they would have stolen that piece of Khmer history too.
Now, they dare to burn Cambodian homes? The CPP should at the "VERY LEAST" send out a formal protest, a squeak, or anything to show support for the poor Khmer people.

Apparently, those Hun Sen's famous tanks were kept as a backup to confront those illegal kites flying over the Phnom Penh sky. The kites clearly interfered with Cambodia's internal affairs and violated its aerial integrity. The CPP certainly knows what the national priorities are, so those Cambodian houses burnt by Thai soldiers are not that important.
The CPP will send Tea Banh to have a quiet word with the Thai military when he goes for his regular medical checkup at Thai Military Hospital next time. Don't worry, everything is under control, except that it's not Cambodia's control.
