Tourist spots Siem Reap, Tho Thean Ve sign agreement to beef up cooperation
Cambodia's tourist destination Siem Reap and Vietnam's sight-seeing spot Tho Thean Ve [KI-Media note: The correct spelling in Thua Thien-Hue, the province where the former Vietnamese city of Hue is located] have signed an agreement to enhance mutual friendship and cooperation in the sectors of business, tourism, economy and social works, a government official said on Saturday.
Sou Phearin, Governor of Siem Reap Province, told Xinhua by phone that the agreement would benefit both sides, especially in the field of tourism.
"We hope it to help attract more tourists to Siem Reap," he said, adding that Tho Thean Ve Province could also enjoy the benefits as it had a lot of natural and cultural resorts.
"We plan to have direct flights soon between the two provinces. Please wait and see," he said.
The agreement was also expected to offer job opportunities for local people and boost the economic growth.
The Angkor historical Park is situated in Siem Reap, drawing millions of travelers annually.

You need to open your heart buddy! You could get heart attack thinking like that. Most Khmer overseas originated from Cambodia. They have Cambodian blood. They love Cambodia just as much as you do; that is the reason why they voice their concerns. We are far from Cambodia in bodies but our hearts are not; not when our relatives are suffering with limited freedom and opportunity for their future. We speak because we care.
My message for you is to open your heart and send a message of love, not hatred or separation among us. We are one big family.
