An SRP activist was charged Monday at Kompong Cham provincial court with assaulting a CPP Preah Theat commune police chief in late October, officials said. San Ho was originally arrested Oct 28 during a brawl at a dance in which police claim that he assaulted commune police chief Chor Hay. Despite suffering a head wound, San Ho escaped police custody that evening and fled to SRP headquarters in Phnom Penh, claiming that police had beaten and arrested him because of his party activities. He was rearrested Monday outside the provincial court after filing a counter-complaint of assault Provincial Deputy Prosecutor Penh Vibol, however, dismissed San Ho's complaint. "We don't consider him a political activist, we consider him an offender," he said. Chan Soveth, coordinator with local rights group Adhoc, called the arrest "political discrimination." An Adhoc investigation found San Ho to be the victim of the assault, and not the perpetrator. "San Ho was handcuffed and bleeding with a gashed head, so it was obvious that the police assaulted him," Chan Soveth said.

How sad! CPP tries to stop SRP by abusing their power over the activist. This action is very cruel to SRP. However, SRP will not die. The more you keep abusing your power the more you will turn Khmer people against you. Khmer must unite behind SRP to rescue Khmer from Communist Youn. Long live SRP. May Budhha help you win the upcoming election in Cambodia.
SRP is hpoing to benefit from being bashed.
