Eight Buddhist monks in Banteay Meanchey province fled their pagoda in the early hours of Sunday morning to avoid defrocking after police caught them watching pornography, officials said Tuesday. Police arrived at the Russei Soraream pagoda in Poipet commune at 8:30 pm Saturday and confiscated a television, a DVD player and 14 sexually explicit DVDs, commune police chief Kong Kuon said. "It's the first time our monks were watching porn" and got caught by police, he said. Nann Sochenda, deputy chief monk in O'Chrou district, said he had allowed the young monks to flee to their native pagodas toward 2 am to spare them from being defrocked. "They are too young and still ignorant of Buddhist rules and this… mistake is minor," he said.

In my view, monks should allow to have some freedoms like going out at night for snacks or karaoke thing like that, as long as they can disguise themselves to avoid getting caught by Ta acha or chau athika. Well, monks how does that sound to you?
This is not a crime by nature, but a test of self-discipline carried out the devil himself. The demon also tempted Buddha and Jesus with beautiful women to distract them from the holy path. But, both Lords were determined (despite their temptation!) to carry on with their crusade to enlighten mankind.
Our young monks failed the devil's test, so no big deal and nobody got hurt except themselves. There is always a little devil in everyone of us, but the important thing is we don't easily give in to our temptation no matter how exotic, how pleasurable, how erotic, how satisfying, how delightful it may be. Damned, I need a shower now!;-)
Some of Catholic priests are well-known to abuses underaged children, an avengelical leader confessed for having sexual contact with male prostitute and used drugs, some of them have huge stacks of money in the bank accounts. Buddhist monks caught for watching porn movies. A monk run away with a woman. The government leaders are corrupted have multiple wives and mistresses. The world known that former President Clinton had sexual contact with intern in the White House. Whatelse I don't know?

I'm glad they let these young monks have a second chance. Personally, I can never be a monk, or a priest. Natural biological inclination is very normal. I believe it has nothing to do with the devil. Humans, like any other species, have to procreate. If, beliefs are so strong, that it overcome natural temptation, then more power to those who practice religion. It doesn't mean you should go around and poker every girl/guys on the block. It just means that you should make love to your husband or wife without any guilt whatsoever.
ahahahahahahahahhahahahahah!
Even young Cambodian monks need sex edudcation! Maybe these Cambodian young monks might learn something from watching pornograhic movie!
