Funcinpec Produces Ranariddhs' Wedding Photos

By Yun Samean
THE CAMBODIA DAILY

In the latest installment of Prince Norodom Ranariddh and Princess Marie's very public divorce, Funcinpec distributed wedding photos to the media Sunday night to disprove the prince's recent claims that he was not actually married to Princess Marie.

The photos show the couple during their marriage ceremony in 1968 with then-Prince Norodom Sihanouk, and his grandmother, the late Queen Sisowath Kossamak.

"Princess Marie has given permission to distribute the photos to show the public and Funcinpec officials that the princess is not his mistress," Funcinpec spokesman Nouv Sovathero said Monday.

Since their estrangement started making the headlines after Prince Ranariddh appeared with his longtime mistress, Ouk Phalla, at a Southeast Asian Games reception in the Philippines last year, Prince Ranariddh has been defending his liaison with the former dancer with whom he has a son.

Prince Ranariddh recently said that no paperwork existed proving that he had been married to Princess Marie.

Norodom Ranariddh Party spokesman Muth Channtha said that the prince had separated from the princess and filed for divorce a year ago. He also claimed that the recently adopted law on adultery did not apply to the prince since his liaison with Ouk Phalla began before the law came into force.

Princess Marie, however, refuses to compromise and wants Prince Ranariddh prosecuted, Muth Channtha said.

In an irreverent letter from Beijing dated Dec 16 and posted to his Web site, retired King Sihanouk quoted an old Cambodian saying that a man only sees qualities in a woman he loves but only failings when he falls out of love with her.

He then referred to a Khmer newspaper article in which Prince Ranariddh complained of Princess Marie maltreating him when they were married.

The retired King also recalled Queen Kossamak telling him that Prince Ranariddh fell for Princess Marie when he saw her stop at a traffic light.

"Love at first sight at a red right, we had never seen that before," he wrote.

Move on Marie, you may be old but still a woman in need.Make a good use of what you possess.Get script from Hun Sen doctor for Cialis or Viagra or whatever works.

Garbage in garbage out, please Stop exposing your private life, ever. What you are doing now asppear as you walked naked in front of mirror.Don't get mad get even, you have woman power.Take example from Arunrasmi, dumped an old for a younger one.

Today RRidh gained the stolen bliss from other man,one day Phalla will repeat her magic to gain a new man to lose RRidh.

Once a slut none can change that,so
both RRidh and Phalla are.

Sess dach yauk sess taam sweetsy, if you real want to get even.

It's a loss of morality in Khmer race. So stupid, so stupid!!!! these royal animals, They don't do anything good for people but always make troubles for people. How much time left is there for all your stupid princes/princesses to serve our poor and people who are crying for food, home, right and justice. It's so sad that these useless guys have salary in the national budgets but do nothing besides having sex.

It went too deep and too ugly. Marie should have solved that matter in a peaceful way not trashing each other like that.
Both Marie and Rannaridh have not done anything good for the country, except corruption they enjoy it. Marie knew for a long time that the love between her and Rannaridh was gone through the wind for a long time, but she is too greedy refusing to let him go.
To her is the title of Princess and fame not about honor or her country anything. She does not lose her title Princess anything, because that Title (Princess) was given to her by Queen Kosomak and her son Sihanouk, I think. Because she married to the Crown Prince so she automatically becoming Princess. The only title she lose is Her Royal Highness, but not Princess. Greedy too much. When LOVE is no longer there then let it goes in PEACE and be good friend instead of being enemy.
