The SRP weekly newsletter reported that Mrs. Mu Sochua was elected as SRP Secretary-General on 25 Dec 2006. 61 members of SRP Central committee participated in the vote, Mrs Mu Sochua received 44 votes in support for her nomination, 15 votes against, and 2 invalid votes.

Hun Sen,Chea Sim,Heng Samrin ,Tep Vong & Sdech Ta Sihanouk are 200% Khmers by look but the all are serving Youn Hanoi.

Please stop barking and misjudge people by their look. This lady has always served Cambodia and Cambodian people since the 80s and is a model citizen for cambodians. Good people should be given a chance to fulfill their good will they want to do for khmers. She is a woman of qualification.

Nowaday, it is almost impossible to distinguish between srey yuon and srey khmer , and this woman look somewhat like yuon to me . Just take a look at her face and her hairdo . If she is khmer,my hat is off to her ,and thanks god she is HOT. bUT If ,and i say IF, she is viet ,WATCH OUT. Since, there are too many viets in srok khmer , the fake one can really really destroy you before you even know it.....if she spoke vietnamese , there is no doubt in my mind... So whatever you do just don't speak yuon , i cannot stand it .......
People should not vote women into high office ,in other word, CONTROL POSITION precisely only one reason , THEIR MONTHLY DUE. Their moods swung drastically on those days. Whenever their mood changed ,WATCH OUT, it's war ....
Please stop questioning her patriotism. She was chosen by the majority of people in a democratic way. Those 60 plus have adequate information about her and her qualifications. Have you ever heard your friends say your kids are American, so and so... but what about your kids look VIETNAMESE? how would you feel? Don't be negative.

wether she is up to her new job, nobody know. The world will test her in 2008 election. Will she brave enough ,and stand up to the CPP ,because some people are already said ; CPP will ,for certain ,win the election presummably through intimidation, or outright fraud , or whatever mean to win the election to stay in power . IF she knew all those activities , and manage to keep quiet, then she is useless. The world will stand by you. Prove yourself...will see.

It definitely doesn't make the hell of sense. Because this formula is applied for trading, rather than in political pratice.

Seeming you are trying to tell me about the tale story within that party. Now, let work out on your math formula: Have Eang and Rita ever been elected? I assumed that they have not been. So, it is now better because this paty has an elected Gen Secretary. Is that the democracy you wanted?
Let me tell you something Khmeng Wat, if you highly expected pure democracy within an organisation, I guess, it will never materialize. Whatever the party named doesn't matter, it matters most is that his party is able to face political consequences created by the ruling party and others. I assumed that you are fully aware of the facts why this party has its name changed from Khmer Nation to Sam Rainsy.
For the record, I would admire Sam Rainsy without hesitation. He has built up this party with the empty hand without armed confrontation with others. That's a positive way that all Khmers would agree with, because no Khmer blood flow again as in the past decades of civil war. His paty gained 14 seats in its first participation in the national election, and subsequently 24.
You now look at other parties! Hun Sen was raised by Vietnamese to become Prime Minister, while Rannariddh orchastrated by his father to lead Funcinpec, but Sam Rainsy is alone. That is the credit he deserves to have. Come on Pal!
If you are anti-Vietnam, anti-Hun Sen, or anti-war in Cambodia, you would be happy with this paty, because this party is the only hope we have right now. Who else do you expect to stand up for that? I do agree that this party is not the best in the democratic world. However, it remains the best among the others in Cambodia.
In sum, it doesn't matter what level of democracy this party implements, and whether the leader dances along Hanoi's song or not, at least we have someone to do the job, not like you and me having spare time to make comments.
Should we can make comments, we should make something better out of our comments for the benefit of our nation.
