A team of government and UN High Commissioner for Refugees officials will leave Phnom Penh today to retrieve 15 Montagnard asylum-seekers reportedly waiting in the jungles of Ratanakkiri province, a UNHCR spokeswoman said Sunday. No children number among the group, which includes 10 men and five women who reportedly crossed the border Nov 11, said Pen Bonnar, Ratanakkiri provincial coordinator for local rights group Adhoc. All are reportedly in good health, he added. "People tell me that they are well but [it] is difficult to give some food because some Cambodian and Vietnamese police are in the village," he said.
