PHNOM PENH, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia has asked the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to strengthen its help for the Kingdom of Cambodia to develop its agricultural sector, an official told Xinhua by phone here on Wednesday.
The help will range from packing technique of agro-industrial products, restoration of an agricultural machine factory donated by the DPRK, to training of farm workers, agricultural experts and mechanical engineers, said Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Chan Sarun.
"I submitted all these proposals to DPRK Ambassador Choe Han Chum, while I met with him in the ministry's building to ask them to help us solve the difficulty in marketing our agricultural products in face of the competition with other countries," he said.
"We need to recycle our agro-industrial products with hi-tech solutions," he added.
Choe Han Chum promised to bring the proposals to the involved institutions in the DPRK and positive results were expected since the DPRK had helped the kingdom develop its agricultural sector for a long time, said the minister.

I used to see a propaganda movie from North Korea. The agricultural sector of this country is very advanced.
It's true that this kind of agricultural technology is very low comparing to the technology for Atomic bomb.So , don't underestimate the North Korea.
The most important thing is that the Cambodian government must adopt the good deed from the foreighn government rather than the bad one.
For instance,Hun Sen should reduce the price of the gasoline rather than ask the people to go to fill their car in Iraq. It is a stupid idea.
THis very stupid Minister should be sent to North Korea first allow him to have this portfolio. How can North Korea support Cambodian with their technic? May they can teach Cambodian farmers to farm mices and rates for food consumption because sooner Cambodians farmers will ran out of lands for their farming. So they need only a small courtyards to farm rats and mices for foods instead. All of Cambodains farmers will soon grabbed by Hun Sen family. THis very stupid Chan sarun must understand that North Korean are very hungry people at present starved by their leaders. Each of them are covered only skin on their bones. I lived thousads of miles from Phnom Penh, but I still can see that in 1995, North Korea has help to build a section of road from Mao Ste Tong Bld to the TV station in Tuol Kork. THe quality of the road built by these stupid government was worst than those of Hun Sen'family. I was so amused to see Chhim Seak Leng and North Korea 'embassador were there to open the road ceremony with all the dusts flying everywhere. If I was Chan Sarun, and if I was being asked by North Korea to have their assistance, I will tell them, please feed your people first, they are so hungry now. Cambodia now is way better than NORTH KOREA!!!

Why the Cambodian gov't associate only with Communist countries? That shows the mind of Hun Sen.
we all should be proud that another country is helping Cambodia. North Korea used to sell their missile technology to other countries like Iran, Pakistan, etc. You cannot underestimate this communist nation. Korean people are not stupid. It is their leader ( Kim Jung Il ) who does not want North Korea to be united with South Korea like East and West Germany. I think their agriculture tecnology is just as good as other industrial nations.
